The course concerns with the problems of the user interface design from the point of view of the software designer. The intelligent interfaces, model based design, multi-agents systems, virtual space navigation, web based interactivity, visual programming and web technologies are the main subjects of the course presentations.
The students learn the concepts of interactive software systems, the technologies and programming techniques, the interactive application development methodology, and get the ability to carry out research and management activity in Computer Science.

Scientific Paper - the students get the ability to carry out a research work throughout the literature by a given IS related subject, and based on a few references and sources they learn to write an essay in a scientific paper format. They prove the ability to search the significant references, to study and synthesize in a critical manner the relevant information, and to edit the results in a conference paper format.
Practical Project - the students develop a specific project in the field of interactive systems. The subjects concern with graphical user interface development methodology and the quality of interactive applications.
Assessment approach: There are four types of assessment - written paper (E), scientific paper (S), practical project (P) and activity at the course (AC).
Mark computation: M1=0,4*E+0,5*[(S+P)/2]+0.1*AC, M2=0,5*E+0,5*[(S+P)/2]
